This session will introduce participants to the Internet Monitoring Action Project (iMAP) which monitors and measures internet censorship in 9 countries predominantly in Southeast Asia. We aim to engage digital rights defenders and collect feedback for the improvement of our project.

The session will begin with an introduction of iMAP and its activities to give the participants some context on what the project covers and hopes to achieve. This session will then be divided into 2 parts focusing on:

  1. documenting relevant metadata for the improvement of censorship measurement research; and
  2. reporting on censorship measurement findings. In each of these sessions, we will encourage feedback from the participants.
