Navigating Internet Suppression - Experiences From Myanmar And Malaysia
Digital spaces are powerful tools for activism and sharing information. Throttling internet access and banning critical tools have become common tactics of government repression. In this workshop, we will hear from two activists in Myanmar and Malaysia. We will learn about the practical tools and techniques they use to navigate internet shutdowns and suppression. Participants will work through real scenarios, learning how to assess risk and make choices despite limited options.
