Key Findings
In 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) announced a Blacklist of 403 websites with signs of law violation, along with a Whitelist containing 2,653 websites.
Based on OONI data, a total of 176 domains were found to experience instances of blockings from July 2023 to June 2024. The three website categories with highest anomaly rates were political criticism, porn, and gambling.
Among the methods found used for censorship were DNS, HTTPS, TCP, and TLS.
